ACBD Scholarships

ACBD Summer Scholarship program :

Each year the ACBD invites currently enrolled Science, Biomedical Science and Medicine undergraduates to apply for a B.G. Firkin Summer Scholarship.  These summer scholarships also serve as a springboard for students to undertake an Honours year within the department.

Summer vacation scholarships are now administered centrally through Monash University.

 2008 Summer vacation projects at the ACBD

AMREP Honours Scholarship :

2 AMREP (Alfred Medical Research and Education Precinct) Honours Scholarships will be offered for students intending to enrol in a full-time honours program at AMREP.

$6,000 per 48 credit points of study will be awarded.

Applications for Honours program commencing in 2009 
      Open : 10:00am Friday 1st Aug '08
      Close : 5:00pm Friday 31st Oct '08

Firkin PhD Scholarship :

Students that are interested in pursuing doctorate studies in cardiovascular disciplines, and who have the appropriate graduate qualifications, are encouraged to apply for the Firkin PhD. Award to undertake a PhD program at the ACBD or affiliated institutes comprising AMREP, commencing in 2008.

Further information on these scholarships can be obtained by contacting Dr Robert Medcalf. Up to four scholarships of three years duration will be awarded with an annual tax-free stipend of $22,500.
